Welcome to the Gibson Doxey Chronicles where no pioneer story is too long or three Nephite story too tall! However, politics are not welcomed here as we want this blog to have as much love and unity as a Hinkley family reunion. Let's make sure everyone who visits feels as comfortable as Dave sneaking an after-dinner pick on Grammy's couch. So sit back and enjoy all the family news.

Howdy Doody!!

So Little Sammy turned one on Memorial Day. He is seen here eating dirt - his new favorite thing to do!! He enjoyed the big bash in Bakersfield. Spencer was extremely excited for Sammy's birthday asking about it everyday for a week. Since we had made Spence a fire engine cake he thought Sammy should have a cool cake too so Spence suggested a "choo choo train" cake and that is what we did. We will have to post pictures of the big day later since I forgot my camera in Bako.

These two pictures are taken almost a year apart. He has grown up a bit and has become even more obsessed with fire engines. He uses the terms - fire fighters not firemen and fire engines not fire trucks. I try not to encourage it too much but he does manage to come home from the library each week with at least 3 books and 2 DVD's about firefighting. He was told to stop by anytime at the fire station - they loved him.

Anyways we love you all and can't wait to see you.
