Welcome to the Gibson Doxey Chronicles where no pioneer story is too long or three Nephite story too tall! However, politics are not welcomed here as we want this blog to have as much love and unity as a Hinkley family reunion. Let's make sure everyone who visits feels as comfortable as Dave sneaking an after-dinner pick on Grammy's couch. So sit back and enjoy all the family news.

If you could eat weather it would be . . . .

DELICIOUS . . . I concur with Ellie, the weather here is fabulous right now. As you can see, Sam and Spence are loving life. Spence has now conquered the slides headfirst. Notice Spence is slightly airborne as he plunged down the tube slide (or at least in his mind). Spence and Sam LOVE the park.

Spence is now talking a ton (if words could be weighed :) ) Sam is trying to survive Spence. Luckily, Sam is pretty patient. Spence has bionic ears--the slightest whimper of Sam and Spence is on it. Of course this gift makes our morning delightful.

Heidi and I are doing well, but similar to everybody else--very busy. I wish we had more free time but my TV schedule just gulps my time up : ). I sure some of you can relate.

I love the blog site even though we do not post items very often. Stayed tune for some NICE postings--I still gathering the evidence.

Oh, by the way, Vegas is delux right now. If you need a vacation come on down.

Dan and Julie Doxey Photos

Hi all,

Julie and I have a lot of pics to share…too many to even start to put them on the blog and/or e-mail to you.

So, they are on a photo sharing site (that is super easy to upload hundreds of pictures to), and super easy to access. This is where we are posting all of our “photo albums” that we share with friends and family. If you want to check it out, feel free. We’re always putting pics up here so check back often b/c well you know, “a picture is worth a thousand words.”

1. Go to www.yahoo.com

2. On the left navigation bar there is a link called ‘Photos’, click on it.

3. On the right of the screen, there is a box where you can sign in.

4. In the sign in box, next to the YahooID box type in doxeys and in the password box, type in ddo141

5. A “My Photos” box pops up with many albums with hundreds of pictures we’ve taken recently. You can scroll picture to picture with the ‘next’ link at the bottom or see the whole slide show by clicking ‘view slideshow’ link at the top right of the picture.

Enjoy.

Family Girth

Young fam, I loved the song. In my mind you all did a little soft toe/interpretive dance along with the amazing song. If you could some how post a video of all of you singing it that'd be great. As for our family I've put together a little comic book page of the types of talents we developed this V-Day.

The Valentine's Day Slug of Love

We started a new tradition in our family this year for Valentine's Day. We wanted to give our kids some little gifts in the morning but couldn't decide how to explain the gifts, so we made up a new Valentine's Day folk hero (like the Easter Bunny or Santa) and made up the following song. It brought such joy and happiness to our family that we thought we would share it with everyone. Who knows, it may just catch on across the nation and even the world. There is music with it, but you will have to wait until we can post an audio file.

The Slug of Love, by Robert J. Young

He’s the slug of love, he’s the slug of love,

He’s the slug, slug, slug, of love.

He’s the slug of love, he’s the slug of love,

He’s the slug, slug, slug, of love.

Go to sleep on time, and don’t leave behind,

Any salt upon the floor.

‘Cause sometime tonight, if your heart is right,

He will slip beneath you door.

(Chorus)

He may bring you a treat, nothing salty just sweet,

And a toy or gift for you.

His service is slow, but a sliming he’ll go,

Spreading love the whole night through.

(Chorus)

P.S. To all you older kids, there is no such thing as a slug of love--think about it!

Spare a penny for the baby Govnah?

I'm working on a new act for the subway. the other work of art I like to call I should be studying--it's a work in progress. And Cos its great to hear that Zackaron came out just dandy--sometimes I think I can't get veggies down either, but chocolate it smooth, it works.

Hello from Colorado! Hey, life here has been swell! We got home from the hospital yesterday, and Zack is doing much better. He had a rough start--and it has been a big adjustment getting used to his new stomach. He's on an icecream diet! Mmm Mmm.
Today, we tried mac and cheese, and mangos, the mac and cheese went down great, but he choked on the Mango--he says fruits and veggies don't go down! We'll work on this. We are now having contests to see who can chew the most amount of times, before we swallow! Mmm Mmm--Zack has won with 57! Thank you EVERYONE for all your prayers and fasting--we definately felt great strength from it.

Other than that--life is going just splendid. The snow is just now starting to melt around here(on the roads--not even close ont he grass). And everyone in town is finally taking down Christmas lights(the cords were burried.) Also, Mark is going to have Lasik surgery on Thursday--so we are so excited about that--and a little nervous! Sounds like Leah, has hit it big time! Congrats! We can't wait to see the Big Star in March--when we go see them! Hope all is well with everyone. We love you! Mark, Cosi, J,M,Z,A
p.s. This is supposed to have a picture with it--but it won't work--like usual. Sorry--so boring!

New Blogging Directions

Okay everyone. Blogger switched up the program on us so you have to follow some new directions to post info...

Go to gibdox.blogspot.com
Click on the "I power blogger" button on the lower right side
Click on "New Blogger" button at top
Enter "youngfamilymail@sbcglobal.net" for the username (sorry it is so long!)
Enter "redwing" as the password and you should be in
If you click"remember me" on your computer you won't have to type in the username each time.

Everyone give it a try. I can set up a new blog as they have a new version out now, but we would lose our old stuff on the blog. Let's try this one more time and see.
