Welcome to the Gibson Doxey Chronicles where no pioneer story is too long or three Nephite story too tall! However, politics are not welcomed here as we want this blog to have as much love and unity as a Hinkley family reunion. Let's make sure everyone who visits feels as comfortable as Dave sneaking an after-dinner pick on Grammy's couch. So sit back and enjoy all the family news.

Parkinson/Boshard Update

We accepted an offer on our house, and are looking for a place a bit smaller. We have til October to be out of the house.Danilee is currently hiking into Havasu Falls (Grand Canyon, Az) with a new boyfriend! I wanted to go and chaperone, but unfortunately, I couldn't get my shifts in the ER covered. She wasn't very sad about that.West returned home from his training in the Provo Mission (Ephraim and Kanab) on Friday, to go out on Tuesday (August 1st) to the Montana, Billings mission, where he will serve for 11 months. He is very excited. There is a brand new mission president there. We will have a family dinner here July 30th at 6:00 pm, for anyone who'd like to stop by and wish him well, or grab a bite to eat. Richard will be cooking, I'll be home from work just in time to sit down.Sam is home, and is now living with us again, he said he'd "really hurt someone" if he had to live at his mom's. He is very talkative now, ends nearly every sentence in "for sure!", and can be very stubborn. He has an occasional temper tantrum which would rival Mitchell's. He still struggles a bit with balance, occasional confusion (mainly at night when he gets up) and memory, but seems to be improving ever so slowly each week. He has a big bald spot on the back of his head where he hit. He is playing golf every day with his brothers and/or Richard. Ian continues to work part time, and work on computers most of the time. Tyler is now legally driving, and got a second job, at the "Pita Pit" in Provo. Cody and Dylan (as well as Sam) are getting ready for golf tryouts on August 2nd. They are very dedicated. Kendal is 12, just counting the days until she turns 16 and can wear makeup, or, until we just don't notice when she tries to use it. 7th grade is coming up way to fast. I just returned from a week long training in Maryland on emergency preparedness for mass casualties related to chemical weapons or toxic spills! If any of you are exposed, give me a call! Wow, that was almost like a Christmas letter, sorry! We miss all of you so far away!

Much Love,
