Welcome to the Gibson Doxey Chronicles where no pioneer story is too long or three Nephite story too tall! However, politics are not welcomed here as we want this blog to have as much love and unity as a Hinkley family reunion. Let's make sure everyone who visits feels as comfortable as Dave sneaking an after-dinner pick on Grammy's couch. So sit back and enjoy all the family news.

The Samster!!

Sammy is loving life on his brother's bike!! He is so tall that his feet easily touch the floor and he is only 9 months. Spencer got the bike for his first birthday and could barely reach the floor. By the way, you can see these posts and much more at our blog - heidiandrich.blogspot.com

We Love Our New Toy!!

So what you see here is the deal of the century. While at the Goodwill I came across this stroller/bike trailer. It fits two children (up to 100 pounds) and has a cover that attaches over the front. This mesh cover allows the cool air to breeze through but doesn't allow for toys, sippy cups, or kids to fall out. We took it for a spin today around the neighborhood while Warren (our cousin) was over and the boys loved it. We plan on going running with it in the mornings. We'll run to the park get out and play and run home. This way we'll get to the park and I'll get some exercise!! It retails for $210 and it is in near perfect condition. Now with all that being said will you believe that I got it for $30?!? I know it is awesome.

Guess Who ?!? (and No, the image has not been distorted)

Can this be an Albino? This photo accentuates certain features and his absolutely zero pigment. But, we love him all the same!!!

Farwell to Caitlin's HS Swim Career (boo hoo!)

On Feb 3rd Caitlin competed in her last high school State Championship. It was such an exciting day filled with mixed emotions. Caitlin set personal records in every event she swam! The Boys WON the State Championship and Dan (OHS Swim Coach of 24 years) officially retire after having received the State Title and Coach of the Year award.
Caitlin was awarded Academic All State -- given to the top 10 academic varsity swimmers in the State! Caitlin we are sooooo proud of you!! What a work filled year this has been as she has been an outstanding swim captain. She has been a great leader and friend to the 100+ members of the team. Way to go Caitlin! Only the swim banquet and videos left!

For those of you who care here's some great PR's:

Leah's the bomb

Leah has the aerobic moves of Jane Fonda and the groin sweat of Billy Blanks. We often find her in this position...just stretching out after a good work out.

Spencer is Loving the Fire Truck Cake

Say, "Cheese," Spencer!! He was in heaven. A Fire Truck Cake...could it get any better?!? For a week we would ask him what he wanted for his birthday and he would say, "Cake." So with such a simple request Rich and I decided to take it up a notch and make him a fire truck cake. His favorite part of the cake were the hoses. He ate the hose in one bite (mind you it was a fruit roll up and could have choked to death). The best part was when he woke up this morning and asked for his fire truck cake. Then I caught him midmorning just staring at the cake. I asked him what he was doing and he said, "candy," as he reached to pull off the black licorice ladder. Not that we ever had any doubt but Spencer truly is just like his daddy. His love for candy is only one of the many things they have in common. We'll share more at a later date!!!
